The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art sits on the banks of the river Ill, in the heart of Strasbourg’s Petite France. The collection gives an overview of the period from 1870 to today and covers a geographical domain mainly centred on Western Europe.
The Museum displays a large collection of art by Jean Arp and Victor Brauner, as well as the masterpiece by Gustave Doré: Le Christ quittant le prétoire (1867-1872).
